Join us for an exciting and interactive day focused on the future of technology, innovation, AI, data science, and machine learning! This event is designed for students passionate about Computer Science, STEM, and Business, providing a platform to engage with industry leaders, gain practical experience, and expand your skill set.

These are industry standard courses, transferrable to the UC Undergraduate Data Science program and cover
inferential thinking, prediction, computational thinking, and real-world relevance.

Hackathon Terms and Conditions

  1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern participation in the 2025 Tech Summit. By registering for and participating in the Event, you agree to comply with these Terms. Failure to adhere to these Terms may result in disqualification.

  1. Eligibility

2.1. Participants must be high school or college students enrolled in a recognized institution.
2.2. Participants must register individually or as part of a team before the designated deadline.
2.3. Organizers reserve the right to verify eligibility and disqualify any participant who provides false information.

  1. Registration and Tickets

3.1. Each participant must register through the official event platform.
3.2. Tickets are non-transferable and valid only for the registered participant.
3.3. If an error occurs during ticket purchase, participants should contact MukarrA@flc.losrios.edu immediately for assistance.

  1. Code of Conduct

4.1. Participants must act with professionalism and respect toward organizers, mentors, judges, and fellow participants.
4.2. Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior of any kind will result in immediate disqualification.
4.3. Teams must adhere to ethical standards in developing their projects, avoiding plagiarism or misuse of external resources.

  1. Hackathon Rules

5.1. Projects must be developed during the hackathon timeframe. Pre-existing work is not permitted unless explicitly allowed.
5.2. Participants must use only approved tools, technologies, and resources as outlined in the hackathon guidelines.
5.3. Teams must submit their projects before the deadline to be considered for evaluation. Late submissions will not be accepted.
5.4. The decision of the judges is final and cannot be appealed.

  1. Intellectual Property and Data Usage

6.1. Participants retain ownership of their projects but grant the organizers the right to showcase, promote, and use submissions for marketing, educational, or research purposes.
6.2. By participating, you agree that any data shared during the event may be used for analytics, reporting, or promotional activities, in compliance with applicable laws.

  1. Prizes and Awards

7.1. Prizes will be awarded based on criteria determined by the judges.
7.2. In case of disputes regarding prize distribution, the organizers' decision will be final.
7.3. Prizes are non-transferable and may be subject to tax regulations. Participants are responsible for any applicable taxes.

  1. Liability and Disclaimer

8.1. The organizers are not responsible for any loss, damage, or personal injury that may occur during the event.
8.2. Participants agree that they are responsible for their own equipment, software, and any personal belongings.
8.3. The organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances.

  1. Privacy Policy

9.1. Personal information collected during registration will be used solely for event management purposes.
9.2. Participant information will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
