12 Common Questions Event Goers Ask

We see our event organizers being asked these questions over and over again. Provide answers on your event pages to minimize support calls.

Do you have a question to add to this list?

12 Common Questions Event Goers Ask

While buying tickets:

1. Is this show appropriate for my child? Or Is the event suitable for business managers?

It is a good idea to provide age guidance for your show. And guidance on who the target audience is.

2. What time will the event end?

Please specify the time your event will end. Be sure to account for both programming time and intermissions if any.

3. Can I combine discounts?

Make sure to specify if discounts can be combined or not. Also, if you require company badge or proof of membership or age or senior citizen status, be sure to specify it clearly.

4. Oops I made a mistake. Or I have a quick question. How can I contact you for support?

Provide email or phone number or chat session for ticket buyers to call you, while they are checking out. Don't lose a sale because you couldn't answer their question.

Just before the event:

5. I lost my tickets. Now what?

Make sure to provide your ticket re-issuing instructions.

6. I did not receive my tickets. Can you re-send please?

Again, make sure to provide your ticket re-issuing instructions.

7. I want to exchange for a different date. My cat accidentally clicked the submit button before I read your refund policy. Please please please help me.

It is a good idea to state your refund and exchange policy in clear and simple terms so people can grasp it quickly. KISS (Keep it Simple, Stupid) is the mantra here.

8. Is there food at the venue?

Depending on the nature and timing of your event, this question may or may not be relevant. If it is, do say if there will be food. Or mention if there are options close by.

9. Is it easy to find parking? Wait, is there a parking fee?

Venue map is not sufficient. Please provide parking information..

10. How early should I get there to get a good seat?

It is a good idea to mention what time check-in starts and if it is a heavily subscribed event and you expect long lines, let them know to arrive early and how early.

Arriving at the event:

11. I am lost. My GPS says I've reached the venue but I don't see you. Can you give me directions?

Sometimes similarly named venues exist in cities. Check the automatic map that your event platform or Google generate to make sure you are infact pointing to the right venue.

12. I don't have my ticket. One of my colleagues bought it. I'm not sure which one though. Can you check if it's in John's name or maybe it is Nina, or Michael, orJennifer, ...

Make it clear if entry requires attendees to produce physical or mobile ticket to avoid this time consuming check-in nightmare.
