About the Festival

Ramayana Kalpavrksam, A 3 day festival of arts and scholarship – was a live on-site festival, curated by Dr. Ananda Shankar Jayant, from 31st March - 2nd April 2023. The festival brought on one stage, music and dance performances, Harikatha, Manas Paath, painting exhibition and workshops. The conference segment was curated by dancer scholar Dr. Anupama Kylash, and brought insightful talks by young and senior scholars of the Ramayana , to celebrate our revered Itihasa Ramayana, the essence of what is Bharat.

The 3 day Ramayana Kalpavrksam festival, was curated as a veritable mosaic of scintillating performances, wide variety of performing arts, ranging from the classical to the popular, thought provoking talks, and workshops on rare arts; a canvas that has something for everyone and every age group.

We bring to you the best of Ramayana Kalpavrksam, an online replay of the event that happened in Hyderabad that was inaugurated by the Hon' Minister of Finance, and Minister of Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman and Padma Shri Dr. P. Raghu Ram, and was attended by a large in-person audience, across the 3 days.
