Inspired Karters

Hello, BITSians!

I am Shruti Sharma, a member of Team Inspired Karters Racing – Formula Student, the Formula Student team of BITS Pilani, which participates in Formula Bharat – an engineering design competition where students from colleges and universities all over India compete with each other with their Formula-style race car.

The competition is from January 23 to January 27 and our team is representing BITS Pilani. I am confident about my team's work this year, and I believe our performance will improve several notches. Fuel efficiency is vital in Endurance – the event that carries the maximum number of points in the competition. Furthermore, to qualify to race on the track, our vehicle has to comply certain sound level restrictions. In order to lower fuel consumption and noise levels, tuning the engine and the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) is necessary. This requires the car to be shipped to Bengaluru along with a team of four to oversee the proceedings. The estimated cost for the same is 1500 USD, which, unfortunately, we are unable to raise via sponsorship.  

We have already raised 500 USD with the help of two of our fellow BITSians and we are now just short of 1000 USD. The only obstacle to a remarkable performance by the students representing BITS Pilani is money.

The amount is needed as soon as possible and preferably before January 10 2019. I know it is short notice, but this will definitely help the team perform better and uphold the reputation of BITS Pilani.
