- Bay Valley Tech
Bay Valley Tech (BVT) is a technology incubator and fast-growing free code academy and coding bootcamp, training students in modern programming, digital design and marketing skills. Bay Valley Tech's paid internship program provides students with valuable hands-on experience and employer introductions. BVT serves communities across northern California including Sacramento, Stockton, Modesto, San Francisco and Pleasanton.
BVT offers free and low-cost coding programs for students focused on web-based development languages ranging from HTML / CSS to javascript and more.
- Association for Computing Machinery
Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society delivers an abundance of resources that advance computing as a science and a profession (www.acm.org). The ACM unites the world's computing educators, researchers and professionals to inspire dialogue, share resources and address the field's challenges. ACM supports the professional growth of its more than 100,000 members by providing opportunities for life-long learning, career development, and professional networking.
ACM Chapters are the "local neighborhoods" of the ACM and provide a range of activities including talks by local practitioners, visits from prominent ACM speakers, technical and career workshops, field trips to computing installations, and the opportunity to network with peers and experts in the many fields of interests.
ACM Sacramento Chapter is formed to help to bring together ACM members and computing community in great Sacramento area by providing a forum for discussion, debate, and dialogue about the issues facing our industry today.
